Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Virtaska’s website and services.
By engaging Virtaska, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
Virtaska provides professional support services as described in proposals, statements of work, or written agreements.
Work begins only after:
- scope and deliverables are confirmed, and
- payment terms (if applicable) are accepted.
2. Definitions
Deliverables: The outputs agreed in writing (documents, reports, formatted files, task completion, etc.).
Acceptance Criteria / Definition of Done: The checklist or requirements used to confirm completion.
Change Request: Any new requirement or expansion beyond agreed scope.
3. Project Process
a) Intake and Timeline
A project timeline and milestone plan may be provided based on the initial scope.
b) Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate instructions, references, and required access on time
- respond to clarification requests within a reasonable timeframe
- review and approve deliverables within the agreed review window (if applicable)
Delays in client inputs may shift timelines.
4. Quality Control and Delivery
Virtaska applies internal QC steps before delivery.
However, some deliverables rely on client-provided information, tools, or formatting requirements and may require your confirmation.
5. Revisions Policy
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Revisions are limited to adjustments that align the output to the original scope and acceptance criteria.
- Requests that introduce new content, new formats, additional pages, or new requirements are treated as Change Requests.
We may specify a revision window (e.g., 7–14 days after delivery) to keep projects controlled.
6. Change Requests (Scope Control)
If you request changes outside scope, Virtaska may:
- provide a revised quote, timeline, and milestone plan, or
- decline the request if it conflicts with standards, legality, or operational feasibility.
Work on Change Requests starts only after written approval.
7. Urgent / Rush Requests
Urgent delivery may be available depending on workload and complexity.
Rush work may include:
- priority scheduling
- extended working hours
- accelerated QC
A rush fee may apply and will be communicated in advance.
8. Payments
Payment terms are specified in the proposal or invoice.
Unless otherwise stated:
- work may require upfront payment, partial deposit, or milestone payments
- late payments may pause work until resolved
- fees are based on scope, complexity, and timeline requirements
9. Refund Policy
Because services involve time-based and custom execution:
- payments for completed work are non-refundable
- partial refunds (if any) may be considered only for clearly unused portions, at Virtaska’s discretion, and based on documented project status
10. Confidentiality
Virtaska treats client materials as confidential and applies least-privilege access.
If an NDA is required, it must be agreed before sharing sensitive materials.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed:
- you own the final deliverables after full payment
- Virtaska retains ownership of internal templates, checklists, workflows, and process systems used to create deliverables
12. Prohibited Use
You may not request services intended to:
- violate academic integrity policies
- enable illegal activity
- misuse confidential data not owned by you
Virtaska reserves the right to refuse service.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Virtaska is not liable for indirect or consequential damages
- total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service within the last [30/60/90] days (choose and insert)
14. Termination
Either party may terminate services if:
- the other party materially breaches these Terms and fails to remedy within a reasonable period
- continued engagement becomes infeasible due to scope, conduct, or non-payment
Upon termination:
- work completed up to termination remains payable
- confidential materials will be handled per the Privacy Policy / written agreement
15. Changes to Terms
Virtaska may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted with an updated effective date.
